Taking place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow, the evening will feature a three-course dinner, keynote speech, and the presentation of some of the Institution’s most prestigious awards.

We particularly look forward to welcoming our speakers, George Imafidon MBE and Dave Pearson.

Our speakers come from very different backgrounds and industries: George advanced from fixing bikes for pocket money in Peckham, South London to Performance Engineer with Sir Lewis Hamilton's Extreme E team, while running his own engineering charity. Meanwhile Dave literally grew up on site at the family business, Star Refrigeration, where he is now Group Sustainable Development Director. It’s a route that took him deep into heat pumps, district heating and sustainability.

What ties them together is their passion for championingfuture engineers: George’s charity, Motivez, is all about empowering 14-25 year olds from underrepresented backgrounds to solve the world's biggest challenges. Dave meanwhile has championed better engagement and work experience for engineering students, through his work with CeeD-Scotland, an academia/industry networking organisation, where he’s been instrumental in championing term-time internships as a more practical alternative to traditional internships. During the evening, they'll sit down together to discuss their experiences, with the chance for guests to put their own questions to them in a live Q&A.
